Mario Fischetti is considered to be one of the most respected House DJs in Brazil, and since he first burst on to the scene in 2000, his diary has been jam packed with exclusive dates at some of the biggest club nights and festivals in South America. His aptitude and general manner earned him a Best House DJ award in 2004 and as well as gaining the respect of a nation of House lovers, he also became an ambassador for the genre raising his profile even more.
Being a proficient and experienced producer, Mario is aware that his tracks must have a dancefloor appeal and to this end he takes every opportunity to investigate the clubs and take note of the effective methods of getting people dancing. This attention to detail is noticeable in his music, as it contains the undeniable House edge with a twist of pop, which translates as a universal language to the revellers in the crowd. His productions and remixes all have this happy and uplifting element that make his tracks stand out above the rest. In short, his tracks have to have the ability to make him dance before he feels they are ready to unleash on an unsuspecting public.
Mario enjoys working alone on projects but is no stranger to collaborations also and has found a perfect partner in the shape of DJ Ale Reis, who has been a co-conspirator on many projects including “Celebration of Life” and “Chocolate Conquest” on his own imprint, Rotator Music. They have also worked together on a remix project for the Groove Junkies track “Oh Lord” to great acclaim.
Mario’s plaudits and gig offers continue to roll in, with guest spots at some of the most prolific and exclusive parties at the Miami Winter Music Conference and a mention from DJ Nils Noa in DJ Magazine as “one to watch in the future”. He has also been fortunate enough to play with some of the genre’s greats, such as Erick Morillo, Harry “Choo Choo” Romero, Roger Sanches, José Nuñes and was the opening act for Basement Jaxx on the Skolbeats Main Stage. Other festivals and prominent club nights he has been involved with are Club Lotus, Warung, Sirena, Brasilia Music Festival, Pacha and Café Mambo in Ibiza.
In 2012 he played alongside MYNC at the Miami Winter Music Conference for 2 exclusive events, and looks forward to making his debut appearance at the world famous space Ibiza this summer where he will play at the Cr2 Live & Direct Party.
2012 started in epic fashion as Cr2 Records brought their whirlwind show to Brazil and asked Mario to join in alongside MYNC. He was also asked to mix one of the CDs for the label’s Brazil themed compilation which sky-rocketed straight to the top of the electronica charts and has a number of singles lined up for release worldwide in the future.
