What is Mastering?
Why do you need mastering?
Mastering should be seen as the final process in getting your track ready for commercial release. We will ensure that your music competes with other commercially available material both tonally and in terms of loudness and punch through careful use of EQ, compression and numerous other processes tailored to each individual track.
Who we are
Our mastering engineer has more than 10 years experience, specialising in dance and pop with a long list of clients including Snoop Dogg, Chicane, Chuckie, Dillon Francis, MYNC, George Esra and many many more. We also undertake the majority of the mastering for the Cr2 label, ensuring consistency and quality across the catalogue. That same level of attention to detail will be given to all our clients.
What we do
EQ - to sweeten the audio and correct or enhance the content of the track
Compression - to add control to the mix and to give character
M/S Processing - to widen the stereo image without phase problems being incurred and to tighten and focus the mono elements of the mix.
Limiting - to increase loudness, bringing the level of your mix to a point where it can compete with other commercially available material.
How long does it take?
In almost all cases, we can guarantee a delivery time of 72 hours from reciept of the pre-master. Often the file will be back with you quicker than that. If you are in a hurry, we offer a priority service.
